Abergavenny Food Festival, running September 18th, 19th and 20th have finally released their full line up of events, and are finally selling tickets for them!
Tom Kerridge, the Hemsley sisters and Raymond Blanc, along with over fifty foodies from around the UK, demonstrating everything from baking to cooking up cultural delicacies, foraging to tea tasting and everything in between!
For all you Bake-Off fans (including ourselves), Frances Quinn, 2014’s winner, will guide you through her unique style of baking! Another exciting event is hosted by The Groundnut Boys, demonstrating recipes from their African Heritage with a contemporary twist, which we can’t wait to see!
As impressive the huge line-up, which is the biggest to date, there is of course the market which have over 220 stallholders, so theres bound to be something for everyone!
The Night Market is another event to return, transforming the Lower Brewery Yard into a magical place to eat, drink and hangout, along with a new Meat Market (can’t wait to try to bring this all back on the train!) and a new Craft Brewery, where you will be able to sample some of Wales’ best-loved craft brews and ciders!
With parties on both the Friday (Swing Time at the Castle) and Saturday (Party at the Castle) evenings, visitors can experience music, dancing and food in the enchanted atmosphere of Abergavenny’s beautiful castle.
For all the aspiring chefs, and for those up for an experience, The Artisan Kitchen School which gives you a unique opportunity to receive expert tuition first hand, taking your creations home with you. For those with families there is of course an option for the little ones where they can show off their culinary talents at the Food Academy with a weekend of free hands on workshops for over 320 children and activities to tempt even the smallest of master chefs.
With something for all the family, Abergavenny Food Festival is shaping up to be the best one yet!
